Hey, everyone.

Brad and Pat have started a new band called Holy Christ. Be sure to follow their blog and “like” them on Facebook for updates on everything recording to shows to whatever other nonsense they talk about.

You can find their blog here: thatcouldbecool.tumblr.com

Thanks.

It certainly has been some time, hasn’t it? I’ll just get right to it and keep you guys and girls at bay because I know you’re all super anxious to figure out where we’ve been.

What’s going on with us:

NOTHING.

Our ep is still in the birthing process. In the perfect, idealistic world I would love to live in and sometimes get wrapped up in, it would’ve been completely done last month but, here we are. All of our schedules tend to completely interfere with eachother’s and some of us have had to deal with some very personal dilemmas so that has set us back a bit but, we’re trying very hard to get back on track. I guess a more realistic completion point would be in the spring sometime. It’s not what any of us really want but, we also really want this ep to A) be the best we can possibly make it by ourselves so we can B) let all of you hear it. Is that so wrong of us? Is it?!

Anyway, another reason we want this to be done, at least I (Brad) do, is because I (we) just want to write some new songs. We made up our first new one a few weeks ago in like, three or four months and it felt really good and really natural. We’ll possibly even add it into our live show soon.

And speaking of live shows, it feels like we haven’t played one in a while but we’re getting back in the swing of that, too. We’ll be playing our buddy Derek’s basement again on April 30th which we’re all really stoked on because if, on the off chance we don’t play any shows until then, it’ll be the second time we’ve made some sort of “comeback”, if you will, at his house. Hopefully it’s as gnarly as the last.

REGIONS - Everything Else

Let’s go back to the roots of our youth, just to do this all again.

OK, listen up. These guys are my bros, they helped me record a track, I’ve played shows with them, and now they need your ears. Please take a listen to this song, and if you like it, go follow their Tumblr: http://regionsband.tumblr.com/ Thanks!

We love Brian. This is our song from the compilation “By Friends, For Friends: Vol. 1” that our friends in Hands On The Stereo put out recently. Also, if you surf this blog a little bit, you’ll find out a secret about this song that really isn’t a secret at all. Smooches.

Hey, everyone. Above is the promo video for a new compilation we’re so proud to be a part of called “By Friends. For Friends.” that was put together by our beautiful buddies in Hands On The Stereo. We, unfortunately don’t know any of the other bands on the comp and I’m sure they don’t know us either but, in the spirit of friendship, this comp was put together to showcase and build friendships which REGIONS, as you may know, is all about. We recorded a demo of our new song and EP title track “Everything Else” for the release and we really hope all of you guys are into it.

The other bands include: Hands On The Stereo, PRAWN, Lost Blue, Viking Viking Viking, StandStill, and Freshman Sunday.

By Friends. For Friends. will be available on December 5 for free download over at Hands On The Stereo’s BandCamp page so we’ll be posting reminders to go snag it when you can.

Thought This Was Necessary.

I just want to say THANK YOU, 1,000 times, thank you to the Aquifer. This is the best venue I’ve ever played at and I think I might ever play at. Granted, I’ve only played shows in Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey but, still, amazing. We love them so much and the love that pours out of that place is unreal. They make us feel like family every time we’re there whether we’re playing or not. And when I say “family”, I don’t mean like, a distant, extended aunt or something but, like your super close, immediate brothers and sisters and that is such a humbling and amazing feeling that I’m honestly struggling to find words that can adequately sum up our love and massive amounts of respect for everyone that helps out there. So, to any of you that might read this, thank you. We love you so much and cannot wait to come back even if it’s just to hang out. Thank you.

Secondly, thank YOU, our fans. Thank you so much for being a part of this band. We love every fan/ friend we have and are so greatful at anything you even have to say to us let alone buying $150 worth of our shit last night. You guys have no idea how amazing that made us feel since it was the first time we’ve ever had any merch. So thank you so much, we wouldn’t be anywhere without any of you and probably wouldn’t even keep doing this if we didn’t have the love from you guys and girls that you show us everytime we play. You are as much a part of this band/ journey as we are. So, please, to you, our friends, the next time you see us, come talk to us because we’d really love to meet you and hang out for a bit. We love you.

P.S. Something’s happening next week.

All Sorts of News

Greetings interweb dwellers! I’m here to bring you a slew of new and exciting information that has all of us here at Camp REGIONS very, very excited. I don’t have any specific way of announcing these things so just bear with me.

  • We’re fucking back. We’ve deliberately taken some time off from playing shows to tighten up and iron out our sound once and for all because, for all of our friends and fans of past bands, you’ll know we sort of have a problem with that. So, we haven’t played a show in three months and we just played our first one the other night at our friend Derek’s house and it was nuts. I hope to see everyone out at the Aquifer for our show this coming Friday with Man Overboard because that’s gonna be a rip-roarin’ good time.
  • We now have merch. Our dear friend Dan, who co-runs Sick Of The Same Old Records, paid out of his pocket to get us some pins which look fucking sick and we now also have shirts which are absolutely AMAZING thanks to Dan and Nick. We only have a few since it was kind of a last minute thing, but I think the sizes are the standard S-M-L so, to all my bigger bros and girls out there, sorry. I (Brad) also won’t have one, if it’s any consolation.
  • All of last week, we recorded a brand new demo for a compilation series that our very good buddies in a certain very good band are putting together that’s due out super soon. Maybe next month? Maybe early ‘11? I’m not really sure. I don’t think they are either. Title and more details TBA.
  • This brings me to the most exciting news of all, I think. We’re recording for our debut EP within the coming weeks. We’re so excited about this, you have no idea. James works at a local church doing sound and it just so happens that they have a gnarly recording setup so we figured we might as well try to spend the least money as possible so we’re recording there for free. I think we might only be doing drums, bass, and basic guitar parts there though and going elsewhere to record vocals and other guitars and mix. I’ll post more about that when we know what’s going on and I’ll be posting recording updates and nice videos and all that good stuff as everything pans out and gets underway. Anyway, the EP will have five songs and is titled “Industry & Everything Else”. We’ll be releasing the artwork when we get closer to the release date of the album so just keep your eyes open for that. We’ve put a lot of effort into these songs over the three months that we’ve been away and we’re all extremely proud of them and can’t wait to have them recorded so we can share them with all of you, our friends. The tracklisting is as follows:

1. Spotlight Seasons

2. Dead Skin, Fragile Bones

3. Waiting Patiently

4. Observations

5. Everything Else

Anyway dear, loyal reader, I believe that’s everything. I’ve also posted a new tab off to the left for lyrics to the songs on the album so please feel free to read them and come out to the shows and sing along because that page is specifically for you. Enjoy them. See you soon.
